In a survey of more than 60 versions of Schumann‘s Fantasie for IPQ, Ates Orga wrote of this version: Benefiting from a fabulously voiced instrument, [this is] an overwhelming experience, outstandingly recorded in a golden acoustic. Remarkable... My recommendations, chronologically, are Backhaus, Gieseking, de Lara, Arrau (1959), Sofronitzky (1959), Richter (1960), Argerich (1966), Richter (1979), Bolet, Hough, Perl, Fiorentino (1996).
