APR's second Cor de Groot volume resurrects another wartime date with the Concertgebouw, this time under Willem Mengelberg, who gives his young soloist his head in a mellow, well though-out reading of the Emperor Concerto... The sound is certainly good enough to enjoy this 1942 treasure... .Schumann's Papillons [is a] delightfully turned account...
